Skill India Scholarship - The Interview

For those unaware, Skill India Scholarships is an initiative by TechBuddy Consulting to aspire for a Better & Skilled India. A Skill India Scholar conducts Gyan Sessions at regular intervals for other students and is NOT allowed to charge any student who attends his/her session.
I got to know about Skill India Scholarships through web, and instantly felt connected to it. Curiosity drives a man to wonders! Holds perfectly true, I looked up for the application procedure, filled up the application form online and waited! Soon, I was called to inform about my Skype Interview with Abhishek Sharma Sir (Founder and Director at TechBuddy Consulting Pvt Ltd). This was going to be my first skype interview, or lets say..my first interview at all! Glad, but not nervous, for I was confident of myself at interacting with people - both formally as well as informally.
With some delay, followed by some technical difficulties at Cyber Cafe (College LAN and video-streaming just doesnt fit in together too well :P), I finally had my interview over the phone with Abhishek Sir. Pure delight, it was!
Starting with introduction on either sides, the interview gained pace. Sir discussed with me, my answers to the questions in the application form..Sometimes appreciating them, sometimes letting me realize my mistake. One of the questions was -

Q. What are you best known for?
My Ans. I am known for my simplicity, humbleness and ability to provide valuable suggestions on wide spectrum of issues. Further, I am also known for my fun-loving and adventurous nature besides being famous as a good orator. People find me good at use of words to convey what needs to be.

As a part of the discussion, sir asked me what all adventure sports had i tried already, to which my answer was "Paragliding, Parasailing and that thing wherein they put you in a plastic ball and let it roll down a hill" Damn! How did i forget the name..ZORBING! It was one hell of an experience when i did it in Lonavala, during a sneak-out from my intern station in Pune :D
Moving on, we discussed about the difference between a teacher and a professor, and on how teaching should actually be!
Catching up, we discussed the various methods that can be used to evaluate a student's performance after a session (the ones including study of physical attributes, a quick verbal Q&A session or a written MCQ sorts) and what all can be done to reach masses! Answer - Technology, the king! We discussed about making small video tutorials that can be uploaded on the TechBuddy Resource Library for unlimited sharing! I am currently working on the same too!

After approximately 45 minutes of a healthy discussion, Sir congratulated me for my accomplishments so far and wished me luck for the future! This was indeed a blessing to the ears :)
A little appreciation can really do wonders to a person!
Thanks a lot Abhishek Sir and to whole of the TechBuddy family for giving me the same. I owe you!

Signing off..
Pulkit.
